For the purposes of insuring your vehicle under a TUFFSTUFF policy, we recognise the following vehicles:

Category 1 - 4x4's

1. Four-wheel drive station wagons of all make with a diff-lock and a low range option.
   Examples are Land Rover, Audi Q7, VW Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, Nissan Patrol,  Toyota Landcruiser, Prado etc.
2. Four-wheel drive Double Cabs of all makes with diff-lock and low range.

Category 2 - Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV's)

1. Four-wheel drive station wagons of all make with a diff-lock but without low range option.

Category 3 - Lifestyle Utility Vehicles (LUV's)

1. Four-wheel drive station wagons without diff-lock or low range options.
2. 2x4 Double cabs with diff-lock option.

Category 4 - Quads and off-road motorcycles

The definition of a Quad bike:

• A quad bike can be defined as an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) with three or four wheels but can have up to six on a specialized modified version.

The definition of a Motorcycle:

• A motorcycle (which is also referred to as a motorbike) is a single-track, two-wheeled motor vehicle that is powered by an engine.

Tour and Safari Operator vehicles can also be covered explicitly by the TUFFSTUFF lifestyle and leisure insurance policy. These vehicles include 4X4s, double cabs and LDVs.

TUFFSTUFF is not only for your vehicle and lifestyle gear but can be combined with your normal domestic insurance policy for the comprehensive coverage of all your risk.

Security Requirements

TUFFSTUFF requires that all vehicles be fitted with a VESA level 3 or level 4 immobiliser system or a factory fitted equivalent thereof.
